Given the stranglehold the NFL has on the North American sports scene, it's unsurprising that the league's annual scouting combine makes plenty of headlines
For fans and executives alike, it's a way to get a glimpse at the future. Who wearing red, white and gold, for example, wouldn't be excited about the prospect of Patrick Mahomes throwing to a speedster like Xavier Worthy?
But, with that being said, it's easy to get caught up in the hype.
While we logically know that working out on an empty field is a bit different than playing in a high-stakes game, it's tempting to draw a direct line from combine performances to an NFL career.
"At the combine, I had some bad interviews," Kelce recalled
"The Cowboys, they were kind of pressing me about having this red flag of missing a year ... smoking weed. I don't know if I was having a bad morning, I basically was just, I don't even know if I want to say this."
